INFORMATION THAT WE COLLECT
We collect information you provide directly to us. To participate in events, you must register and create a profile. During registration, you will be required to provide certain personally identifiable information, including your first and last name, address, birthday, gender, telephone number and e-mail address. You will also need to select a user name and password. You may include additional information on your profile, such as a nick name, website address, social media handle(s) and biographical information, and you may upload a photograph. To register for an event, you will be required to provide additional information, including your BJJ rank, your weight class, home academy, and VSME team.
You understand that by entering this information, we and others will be able to identify you by your profile. You also understand that your information may be listed publicly on the Service and your user name, score, age, BJJ rank, gender, weight class, Instagram handle (if you have one), home academy, VSME Team, city and country will be displayed to other users, guests and visitors. If you do not wish to provide this personal information, you may access the Service as a guest; however, you will not be able to register to participate in an event.
If you make a purchase or register to attend an event, you will be making a payment through a third party and you are agreeing to that third party’s payment terms and personal information handling practices and you understand that VSME is not a party to the transaction.
When you ask for help from our customer support team, we will collect and store the information you provide (generally your name, phone number and email address). We will store the communications you have with the customer support team and any information in those communications.
We may communicate with you through email or other means. Communications may relate to events, registration confirmations, promotions, service availability or other service-related issues. You are not able to opt-out of certain communications, including those relating to functions or features of the Service, or technical or security notices. When you visit or use the Service, we may automatically collect and store certain information about you, such as the type of browser or device operating system you use, the domain name of the website from which you linked to us, the amount of time you spend on the Service and the pages on the Service that you view. We may also aggregate information collected from our users (such as the number of users in a particular region or having particular characteristics).
HOW WE USE THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We will use your information as described below:

We may disclose personally identifiable information to investigate suspected fraud, harassment or other violations of any law, rule or regulation, or the policies for the Service.
COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGY
We may also use and place cookies on your device from our third party service providers in connection with the Service, such as an analytics provider that helps us manage and analyze Service usage. We use session ID cookies and persistent cookies. A session ID cookie expires when you close your browser. Our persistent cookie remains active on your hard drive for up to [one (1) year]. We set a persistent cookie to enable us to track and target the interests of users to enhance the services we provide.

We have undertaken and will undertake commercially reasonable efforts designed to prevent unauthorized access to user data retained in our servers, however, due to the inherent open nature of the Internet, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information provided online.

We will retain your information for as long as your account or inquiry is active or as needed to provide you with the Service and for a reasonable time thereafter in accordance with our standard procedures or as necessary for archival/audit purposes, to comply with our legal obligations, to resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse and to enforce our agreements. Our Service is designed for those 18 years of age and older.

PROCESSING OF INFORMATION
Data Processing outside your country
We may process your information outside the country where you live. By using the Services, you consent to the transfer of information outside the country you live in. You understand that if your information is processed in a foreign country, it may be accessible to law enforcement and national security authorities within that jurisdiction.
